IGNOU Subject, Course & Medium Change Procedure – Candidates have the option to change their Medium of Instruction, Programme and Elective/Course. If the candidate has already taken admission to IGNOU University in the selected programme and wants to make changes in any of the following then he/she must submit an application to the concerned department. The student has to note that it is permitted only within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of course material.

For Bachelor’s Degree Courses, if a candidate wants to change their programme from BA to BCom/BTS/BSW or vice-versa or BCom to BA/BTS/BSW or vice-versa or BSc to BA/BCom/BTS/BSW is permitted only within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission. Candidate should make payment of Rs.600 plus Rs.350 per 2 or 4 credit courses while Rs.700 per 6 or 8 credit course.
For a change of Course from BA/BCom to BTS/BSW, the candidate will be required to pay the difference of fee in addition to Rs.500 stated above. No change is permitted from BA/BCom/BTS/BSW to BSc.
For Master Degree Courses, a change of programme is permitted only in the first year of study within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission. The candidate has to pay full programme fees and has to forget the paid fees for the previous programme.

Candidate has to apply for a change of programme through the Regional Director of the concerned Regional Centre. Payment should be made by Demand Draft in favour of IGNOU payable at the place of the concerned Regional Centre.

How to Change IGNOU Subject or Elective
If candidates want to change any subject or elective in the admitted programme then he/she must be made request max within 30 days from the receipt of the first set of IGNOU Study Material. Status for Change of Medium, Subject & Program
Once you have successfully submitted the application to the regional centre for change of course, medium or subject then candidates can track the status in the IGNOU Admission Status page. You can find your request for a change at the left side of the admission status page on top after entering your enrollment number. You will find your current status like the change is accepted by the regional centre or not. Once it is accepted then the changes will be updated there.

I am too worried i mistakenly selected a wrong subject and done the payment please help me regarding this issue.
i have mistakenly entered the main subjects of 10+2 which was the eligiblity criteria of the admission form.but i have attached the correct certificates of 10+2 (PCMB) the only correction is the main subjects which i have entered as english and arts should be changed into english and science (PCMB).but in your format of correction there is no concern of correcting the mistake done. the correction format says only about correcting subject ,name, medium,course ,contact details. hence i request u to give a direction to correct my mistake. (i have selected B.A english (honours)). i have already sent the mail regarding the correction.please guide me to correct this respective mistake.
