A one-time registration fee of ₹300 (non-refundable) and a University Development fee of ₹400 are charged at the time of taking fresh admission (in addition to programme fees). Important: New in 2025 (FYUP & ME–ME)
From the July 2025 admission session, IGNOU has introduced the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) with Multiple Entry–Multiple Exit (ME–ME). Learners can:
- Exit after 1 year with an Undergraduate Certificate (44 credits including 4 vocational credits)
- Exit after 2 years with an Undergraduate Diploma (84 credits including 4 vocational credits)
- Complete 3 years for a Bachelor’s Degree (Major) (120 credits)
- Complete all 4 years for a Bachelor’s Honours (with Research) (160 credits)
The scheme also enables lateral re-entry (subject to conditions) using credits stored in the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).
